TravelSkies Privacy Policy

TravelSkies helps you check the weather along a driving route before you leave. We designed it to work without accounts and without collecting your personal data. This policy explains exactly what the app does with information.

Information we collect

None on our servers. TravelSkies has no user accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. We do not operate a server that receives your data, and we do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.

Location

• If you choose "Current Location" as a starting point, the app requests your device location while you are using the app to calculate your route.
• Your location and the places you enter are sent to Apple's MapKit (for routing and geocoding) and Apple's WeatherKit (for the forecast along the route). This processing is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.
• TravelSkies does not store your location history.

Data stored on your device

Saved routes and your preferences (units, preferred map app, alert settings) are stored locally on your device only. They are not uploaded anywhere and are removed if you delete the app.

Notifications

If you enable route risk alerts, notifications are generated on your device. Enabling them does not send any data to us.

Children

TravelSkies is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
